Day 3

After breakfast, we depart for a tour of Montreal's famous Notre Dame Basilica, which is a replica of the one in France, complete with its ornate altars and statues. This magnificent church, located in Old Montreal, is a powerful symbol of the city and its history. The Basilica memorializes the city's mystical foundations. In addition to being an undeniable tourist attraction, the Notre Dame Basilica is a place of faith, spirituality, warmth and connection with God. Its primary mission and purpose is the proclamation of the Gospel. Next, we depart for Our Lady of Cape Shrine in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. This is a very special and scenic stop on our way to Quebec City, Canada. Our Lady of the Cape is a title given to Mary the Mother of God in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, Canada, and the title refers specifically to a statue of the Blessed Mother, which is currently located in the Old Shrine. Later we arrive in Quebec City, Canada, with its distinct European flavor, French foods, language and fashion! Upon our arrival we check into the Hotel Chateau Laurier, located just outside the Old City Walls, for the next two nights. Tonight, dinner and entertainment are served up in a quaint, French restaurant located in Old Quebec City.

In case you can't imagine that, Montmorency Falls is one-and-a-half times taller than Niagara Falls. We conclude our touring day at Ste. Anne-de-Beaupre Basilica. St. Anne, the grandmother of Jesus, was known as the healing saint. The Catholic Church has credited The Basilica with the miraculous curing of the sick and disabled.
