Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach
to the Southern Seacoast of Connecticut. Upon our arrival, we join the Captain and the crew of the "Sea Mist" for a delightful, 45-minute narrated cruise to the Thimble Islands. First discovered in 1614 by Adrien Block, these islands were used for everything from farming to quarrying granite, from bootlegging to hiding Captain Kidd's treasure. Captain Kidd sailed here in 1665. . .you can still feel his presence today. Legend holds there are 100 to 365 islands in this area, some islands with only one home! Following our cruise settle back and enjoy the scenery on our drive to Massachusetts. Before checking into our hotel in Billerica, Massachusetts for the night, we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2

After a deluxe continental breakfast, we depart for one of the most historic cities in the United States - Boston, Massachusetts. Upon our arrival, we meet our step-on guide for a driving tour that will highlight Boston's historic sites, diverse neighborhoods and the unique shopping districts. After our tour, we will have some leisure time to explore Boston's # 1 tourist attraction - Quincy Market, and browse its many specialty shops and restaurants. Lunch is on your own. Following lunch, we climb aboard Boston Harbor Cruises for a delightful 45-minute narrated cruise through Boston's Inner Harbor. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of Boston's waterfront including one of Boston's most treasured landmarks, the USS Constitution at her home in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Later we arrive in the resort town of Ogunquit, Maine, the "Beautiful Place by the Sea". After checking into the Ogunquit Resort Motel for the next three nights, we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3

After breakfast, we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Kennebunkport. Highlights of our tour will include viewing Colonial Mansions, a drive past former President Bush's summer estate on Walker's Point, and a photo-stop at the Wedding Cake House. We will also stop by the Franciscan Monastery to experience the peaceful grounds, unique architecture and shrines. Following our tour enjoy exploring Dock Square Kennebunkport with its galleries, shops, and restaurants. Lunch is on your own. Later we return to Ogunquit for a harbor & lobstering cruise. An authentic Maine lobsterman will show you how lobsters are caught and share with your insights about the lobster industry. After our cruise, we will visit the Village of Ogunquit and Perkins Cove. Enjoy some leisure time exploring and browsing the specialty shops, stroll beautiful Ogunquit Beach and walk the Marginal Way Ocean Walk for some spectacular views along the rocky coastline. Later we return to our resort motel where you will have time to sit, relax and freshen up before going out for a delicious dinner at a restaurant that serves up great local flavors.

Day 4

After breakfast, we meet our step-on guide and "harbor hop" to the postcard town of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, "The Boating Capital of New England". Upon our arrival, we enjoy a driving tour of Boothbay that includes a photo-stop at Ocean Point. The Ocean Point area offers the perfect vantage point for taking in the rocky coastline, the islands, boat traffic, sea birds, and salt air. Following our tour, you will have leisure time to enjoy strolling through the winding streets of Boothbay Harbor Village while exploring the vast array of galleries, shops and restaurants along the waterfront. Lunch is on your own. After lunch we climb aboard Cap'n Fish's Boat Trips for a delightful Boothbay Harbor cruise, which takes us past beautiful summer homes, picturesque lighthouses, small islands, snug coves, and offers us the opportunity to view seals in their natural habitat on rock ledges. Before returning to our resort motel in Ogunquit we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, we depart for home with vivid memories of New England's historic coastal communities, and its unique seacoast, lighthouses and lobsters.
