Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach as we head south toward the sunny Florida Keys. Before checking into the Country Inn & Suites in Florence, South Carolina for the night, we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.


Day 2

After breakfast, we depart for St. Augustine, Florida. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement within the borders of the continental United States. Upon our arrival, we climb aboard the Old Town Trolley for a 1-hour narrated tour of the city. Tonight, we are treated to a delectable dinner at a local restaurant before checking into our hotel accommodations in St. Augustine for the night.

Day 3

After breakfast settle back, relax and enjoy the scenery on our drive south along the Atlantic coast to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Following lunch on your own we visit Flamingo Gardens. A 60-acre tropical paradise, Flamingo Gardens is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary, aviary, and botanical garden. The garden features thousands of rare, exotic and native plants, plus butterfly and hummingbird gardens. The wildlife sanctuary is home to over 90 species of animals native to Florida. The aviary exhibits five native Florida ecosystems, and you can view 250 birds representing more than 45 native species. The Everglades aviary houses one of the largest collections of wading birds in the United States. The Flamingo Pond showcases Caribbean Flamingos amidst their naturalistic environment of tropical vegetation and sparkling waterfalls. Also, you can visit the historic 1930s Wray Home Museum. The Wray Home was the weekend residence built in 1933 by Floyd L. and Jane Wray, and it has been restored to provide visitors a glimpse of life in South Florida in the 1930s. So, enjoy a narrated tram tour through 42 remote acres of Flamingo Gardens, explore the Wray Botanical Collection and visit historic Wray Home Museum. We overnight in Miami, Florida. Tonight, dinner is included.

Day 4

After breakfast, we depart for Florida's premier airboat attraction, the Everglades Safari Park. A guided tour of the Everglades including a thrilling airboat ride will be included. Our experienced tour guide will describe to you the wonders of this unique ecosystem and the native and exotic wildlife that inhabit it. Also, an alligator wildlife show and a walking trail filled with crocodilian exhibits are included. Later we continue south, traveling across the Overseas Highway to our destination - Key West, Florida. The anticipation is over as we arrive at our deluxe accommodations for the next three nights at the Doubletree Grand Key Resort, located close to historic downtown Key West. Following our hotel check in, you will have time to unwind and freshen up before we go out for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5

After breakfast, we'll board the Old Town Trolley and embark on a 90-minute tour thorough Key West. The trolley tour is a showcase of all the best of Key West, from Mallory Square and Duval Street to Henry Flagler's historic Railroad Museum, and everything in between. Included is admission to the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum. You may hop on and off at convenient stops throughout the day. Following an exciting day exploring Key West, you will have time to sit, relax and freshen up before we go out for an aquatic adventure of a lifetime, a 2-hour cruise to North America's only living coral barrier reef. Climb aboard a glass-bottom boat and experience Key West's vibrant underwater paradise without ever having to get wet! Through the glass panels of our spacious catamaran, you'll get to see more than 600 species of tropical fish, sharks, turtles, lobsters and crabs, plus colorful coral and a vast collection of other sea life. Your sunset cruise will include Champagne and soft drinks as the sun settles into the Gulf of Mexico.


Day 6

After breakfast, enjoy a free day in Key West! Perhaps you will take advantage of the Old Town Trolley ride again, which offers re-boarding privileges to enjoy the variety of shopping, dining and attractions. Those more adventurous might try snorkeling, fishing or even an exciting fly tour to historic Fort Jefferson. Your Gunther Tours escort will be happy to assist you with suggestions and arrangements. Or sip on refreshing cocktails from the outdoor Tiki Bar while spending the day poolside surrounded by tropical gardens. It's the perfect setting to enjoy America's Caribbean and a lazy day. Tonight, dinner is on your own, be adventurous and enjoy the great local cuisine . . . anyone up for conch chowder, hot ballos or Key Lime pie?


Day 7

After breakfast, look for a few alligators sunning themselves in swamps next to the highway as we return to Florida's mainland and travel to Miami, Florida. Following lunch on your own at the Bayside Marketplace, we meet our step-on guide for a tour of Miami Beach. Highlights of our tour will include Miami's skyline, its classic Art Deco buildings, and a drive along the famous Ocean Drive and South Beach. After our tour, we depart for our oceanfront accommodations at the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, for the next two nights. Tonight, dinner is on your own.


Day 8

After breakfast, enjoy a free day at the beach! Spend the day splashing in crystal-clear surf and building castles made of sugar-white sand on one of South Florida's best beaches. You may choose to set out on the Atlantic on a sport-fishing trip in search of a legendary catch, have an amazing underwater adventure on a diving excursion, or simply cool off from a day in the sun with a revitalizing dip in the oceanfront pool or hot tub. Do it all or enjoy a day of leisure at our oceanfront hotel! After spending a relaxing day at the beach, we meet up with our fellow travelers and depart for a sightseeing cruise on the Jungle Queen. Enjoy a narrated cruise down the "Venice of America," Fort Lauderdale's New River, sailing through Millionaire's Row with homes of the Rich and Famous, spectacular Mega Yachts, and more. When we arrive at our tropical isle, you'll be treated to an All-You-Can-Eat Dinner featuring barbeque baby back ribs, chicken, peel & eat shrimp and all the fixin's. Enjoy live entertainment during dinner. Be sure to take a few minutes to tour the beautiful tropical isle with lush foliage, exotic animals, and yummy soft serve ice cream at the gift shop. Following our dinner cruise, we return to our hotel for a good night's sleep.

Day 9

After breakfast, we depart for a tour of the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. NASA's launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, maybe meet a veteran astronaut and see giant rockets. After checking into our hotel in Orlando, Florida for the night, we are treated to a buffet dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

Day 10

After breakfast, we travel through Georgia and South Carolina to reach our hotel for the night in Florence, South Carolina. A farewell dinner is included at a local restaurant.

After breakfast settle back, relax, and enjoy treasured memories from our remarkable days under the warm Florida sunshine as we journey home!
