Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to Riverhead, New York, located on the tip of Long Island's famed North Fork and situated along the picturesque Peconic River. After checking into the Hyatt Place, the newest destination on Long Island's East End, for the next three nights, we are treated to a delicious dinner at the Long Island Aquarium located next to the hotel.

Day 2

After a hearty continental breakfast, we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of the neighborhoods and villages on Long Island's South Fork, including "The Hamptons", known as the summer playground of the rich and famous. Famous residents include Jerry Seinfeld, Madonna, Calvin Klein, the Hiltons, Steven Spielberg, Kelly Ripa, Paul McCartney and more! Enjoy your "lifestyles of the rich and famous" tour as you view the homes from a distance, neighborhoods and towns where the rich and famous come to play and relax! We'll include a photo-stop at Coopers Beach, listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the United States and some free time to explore The Village of Southampton, the oldest English settlement in the state of New York and is named after the British Earl of Southampton. After a delicious luncheon, we make the short drive to Montauk Point, home of the Montauk Lighthouse. Take a self-guided tour of the oldest lighthouse in New York which was commissioned by President George Washington. Feeling adventurous? Climb the 137 steps to the top of the tower and explore the exhibits in the "keeper's house" museum. After a day of sightseeing on Long Island, we return to our hotel for a tasty dinner on your own at the Seaside Grill, located adjacent to the Hyatt Place. After dinner, relax and enjoy a swim in the indoor and outdoor pool.

Day 3

After a hearty continental breakfast, we meet our step-on guide, and depart for another day of sightseeing. We begin with a tour of Sag Harbor, hearing delightful stories about this important whaling village of the 1600's. Next we will tour the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum where we will view collections of whaling tools and artifacts, portraits of ship's captains and their wives, 19th-century household items and antique toys. Next we will tour the Old Whaler's Church where the wives of sea captains went to pray for their safe return. After lunch on your own in Sag Harbor, we will travel from Long Island's South Fork to the North Fork by way of 2 short ferry rides. Upon our arrival, enjoy a riding tour of Long Island's North Fork. View the rural scenery on our drive through the agricultural region, where vineyards and farm stands flourish. Next we will tour Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard, a family owned grower of exceptional wine, and a race horse rescue sanctuary. Enjoy a guided tour and hear the amazing stories about these beautiful horses, followed by a wine tasting of the vineyards distinctive wines. After returning to the mainland by ferry, we are treated to a delicious dinner at a restaurant that serves up great local flavors.

Day 4

After a hearty continental breakfast, we depart for Oyster Bay, New York and Sagamore Hill. Become inspire by the legacy of one of America's most popular presidents! Sagamore Hill was the home of our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt from 1885 until his death in 1919. Enjoy a guided tour of the home and its contents that have been preserved to ensure that the legacy of the Theodore Roosevelt exists to inspire future generations. During Roosevelt's presidency, Sagamore Hill was referred to as the "Summer White House" and was host to prominent and inspirational individuals from around the country and the world. Don't forget to visit the exhibits on display at the Old Orchard Museum and the visitor center. You will find a wide selection of Theodore Roosevelt memorabilia at the bookstore and museum shop located in the visitor center. Following our tour, we depart for home with a new appreciation of Long Island, and many rich memories of our Gold Coast vacation!
