National Museum African American History

& Lunch at Saints Paradise Cafeteria

Featuring Southern & Soul Food

Washington, D.C.

Welcome to the Smithsonian’s newest museum (19th), the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African life, art, history and culture.  The museum will be a place where all Americans can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience, what it means to their lives and how it helped us shape this nation.  A place that transcends the boundaries of race and culture that divide us, and becomes a lens into a story that unites us all, the museum seeks to help all Americans remember, and by remembering will stimulate a dialogue about race and help to foster a spirit of reconciliation and healing.  We spend 4-hours at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.  Enjoy a delicious lunch included at Saints Paradise Cafeteria, a southern and soul restaurant where “love is the main ingredient” prior to visiting the Smithsonian’s newest museum!  (L)
