Do you enjoy a local community theatre and a delicious meal right in your backyard!  Join Gunther Tours and show your enthusiasm for a small, intimate, in-the-square theatre, using local talented actors at the Spotlights Theatre in downtown Baltimore, Maryland and spend a delightful Sunday afternoon with the cast of “Smokey Joe’s Café”.  Featuring nearly 40 of the greatest songs ever recorded, “Smokey Joe’s Café isn’t just great pop music, it’s the songs of your life.  Mike Stoller and Jerry Leiber helped give birth to rock and roll when they wrote “Hound Dog” in 1952 for Elvis Presley.  Their list of hits sounds like the very history of rock and roll almost from the moment of its birth.  Reminisce to the sound of some of the most enduring classics in the history of rock 'n' roll that Leiber and Stoller wrote, including “On Broadway”, “Love Potion #9”, “Yakety Yak”, “Fools Fall in Love”, “I’m A Woman”, “Charlie Brown”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Spanish Harlem”, “Stand By Me”, and more!  Before the show enjoy a delicious lunch at Mount Vernon Stable, located in the historic neighborhood of Mount Vernon on North Charles Street, since 1984.  Please provide a meal choice when making your reservations.  Your choices are New York Strip Steak, Barbecued Chicken, Blackened Salmon or Penne Primavera.
