Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Settle back, relax and enjoy a leisurely drive as we head northwest to "The Badger State," Wisconsin for the start of an exceptional tour of Wisconsin Treasures! Before checking into our hotel in Toledo, Ohio for the night, we are treated to dinner at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. A $20.00 gift card is provided for you.

Day 2

After breakfast, we travel through Indiana and Illinois to reach the Dancing Horses Theatre in Delavan, Wisconsin. This afternoon experience an astonishing show at the Dancing Horses Theatre. This dazzling spectacle features an array of horse breeds that perform alongside their trainers in this fantastic cavalcade of equestrian artistry. Visually stunning, and performed in a state-of-the-art theatre, this live show is truly a must see! Before the show enjoy the Exotic Bird Show featuring parrot's roller-skating, playing basketball and singing. These amazing birds have been featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Animal Planet cable channel. After checking into our hotel in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin later, you will have some time to relax and freshen up before we go out for a delicious dinner at Sprecher's Restaurant & Pub.

Day 3

After breakfast, we depart for the high point of our visit to Wisconsin. Our anticipation is over as we enter The House on the Rock in Spring Grove, Wisconsin. Designed and built by Alex Jordan of Madison, Wisconsin, the house is an architectural marvel perched on a 60-foot chimney of rock. Begun in the early 1940's, it overlooks the breathtaking panorama of Wyoming Valley. The 14-room House, sculpted atop Deer Shelter Rock, is the original structure of what is now an extraordinary complex of rooms, streets, buildings and gardens covering over 200 acres. On your self-guided tour, you will explore some of the world's most unique collections including the world's largest carousel, a 200' sea creature, automated music machines, and much more! Following our tour, we continue our journey through Wisconsin on our way to our accommodations for the next two nights in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. After checking into our hotel, you will have time to unwind and freshen up before we go out for dinner and entertainment. Tonight, we have reserved seats at the Thunder Valley Threshing Dinner Show. Enjoy an evening of storytelling, fiddling, singing, sing-a-longs, accordion playing and jokes that will fill the air with laughter! Following the show, we return to our hotel for a restful night's sleep.

Day 4

After breakfast, we embark on a relaxing Trolley Tour and see the famous Wisconsin Dells by land. An experienced and entertaining tour guide will narrate our tour, sharing both humorous and fun facts about the area. From your seat, see the sights and sounds that made the Dells famous, including the Wisconsin River, the sandstone, hidden gems, and learn about how it all got started. Following our tour, we depart for Market Square Cheese. Family owned and operated since 1969, Market Square Cheese offers the largest variety of top-quality Wisconsin cheese and homemade sausage in the Wisconsin Dells area. Afterwards, we depart for downtown Wisconsin Dells for lunch on your own and later enjoy some leisure time exploring the shops downtown. This afternoon, we will embark on a delightful 2-hour boat cruise through the beautiful Upper Wisconsin Dells where you will marvel at the high cliffs and dramatic geological formations. We will navigate through the treacherous Devil's Elbow and make two exclusive and unforgettable shore landings where you can go ashore to explore mysterious Witches Gulch and see the famous dog leap at Stand Rock. Before returning to our hotel for a good night's sleep, a delicious dinner is included at Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty. A unique combination of restaurant, gift shop and bakery, Paul Bunyan's is a well-known Midwest attraction.

Day 5

After breakfast, we depart for a day of sightseeing with an animal theme. We begin at Cristo Rey Ranch in Mount Calvary, Wisconsin for a guided tour and a wagon ride. The Congregation of Sister Servants of Christ owns Cristo Rey Ranch the King. Possessing a love for animals, as well as people, the sisters began to provide homes for various animals, which has grown into a menagerie of over 300 animals at any given time. Currently, there are sheep, goats, llamas, emu, donkeys, rabbits, and horses, pot-bellied pigs, dogs, cats, a variety of fowl including turkey, geese & ducks, also peacocks, chickens, living in the rolling countryside. You'll have a chance to pet a llama or see the fainting goats at this unique ranch run by nuns, just a part of the retirement complex they operate. After lunch on your own at a local restaurant we'll visit Larson's Famous Clydesdales in Ripon, Wisconsin. One of the only places in the United States where you can see fourteen Famous Clydesdale's, close-up and personal. Enjoy a truly exciting, entertaining, and fun filled 90-minute guided tour that includes a short grandstand show. Also prior to our departure, you will have time to take pictures of Baby Clydesdales, and to visit the Clydesdale museum and browse in the Clydesdale gift shop. We continue our travels through Wisconsin to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Tonight, dinner is included.

Day 6

After breakfast, we say goodbye to Wisconsin and travel through Illinois, Indiana and Ohio to reach our hotel for the night in Strongsville, Ohio. Your Gunther Tours escort will invite you to play games, enjoy a movie and provide quite time as the miles roll by today. Today, a lunch stop will be included at Dutchman Essenhaus in north Indiana Amish Country. Prior to our departure, you will have time for browsing in the gift shops here. The original homestead buildings have been renovated and repurposed as a charming collection of gift shops. After checking into the hotel for the night, relax and enjoy a leisurely dinner on your own at the hotel's restaurant.

Day 7

After breakfast, we depart for the National Aviary, located in the historic North Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here, you will experience up close encounters with exotic, rare, and endangered birds as you are transported from rocky coastlines, through a tropical rainforest and to serene grasslands. Observe various flight atriums, bird-related exhibits, and demonstrations. Free flight, walk-through exhibits allow birds to perch at arm's length and greet you, while more elusive inhabitants are only discovered by careful study of the tree tops and groundcover. The aviary offers you a memorable adventure and provides a treasury of beauty for you to enjoy! A half hour bird show will be included. Following lunch on your own, we depart for home taking with us a new appreciation for "The Badger State," Wisconsin, its unexpected and astonishing treasures!
