Day 3

Day 3: After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Nashville. We will learn about Nashville's colorful history and beautiful architecture, drive by the Tennessee State Capitol, world famous Music Row, and through Centennial Park where we will visit the Parthenon. The Parthenon in Centennial Park is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece. It was designed by Confederate veteran William Crawford Smith, and built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition. Today the Parthenon, which functions as an art museum, stands as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, a large public park just west of downtown Nashville. Following our tour, we'll visit Nashville's Broadway Historic District. Explore and experience the entertainment of Broadway's vibrant musical honky-tonks, including world famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, restaurants, local stores, shops, and boutiques, all conveniently located within walking distance of each other. See the street where musical legends were made, and discover how the Broadway Historic District came to be known as "Honky-Tonk Highway". You will find Ernest Tubb's Record Store, Betty Boots and several Western Shops, plus, attractions like the George Jones, the Johnny Cash and the Patsy Cline Museums. Later we return to the Opryland Resort where you can explore this grand Nashville landmark. Enjoy creating your own adventure as you stroll under the majestic, climate-controlled glass atriums, surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and sparkling waterfalls. Or you may simply wish to sit, relax and experience the serenity of this spectacular resort from your balcony room. Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own at any of the Opryland Resort's restaurants conveniently located within the resort. (B)

Day 5

Day 5: After breakfast settle back, and relax in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach and enjoy the scenery on our drive across eastern Tennessee to reach Sevierville, Tennessee. We'll stop for lunch at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, a delightful complex surrounded by orchards in a serene setting in the heart of Sevierville. Located in a historic farmhouse on a working apple orchard, the restaurant serves up delicious, hearty authentic farm-style southern cuisine, with a country flare, while you relax and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the grounds. Following lunch enjoy some free time browsing and shopping at the Apple Barn Cider Mill & General Store, the candy factory, winery, creamery, and bakery all located at the farm complex. Next, we travel to Pigeon Forge and the Titanic Museum to experience the shipboard holiday festivities at the Titanic Christmas & Winter Celebration. The Titanic is magical during the holidays. Come exchange greetings with the Titanic crew and enjoy the glittering lights and the festive decorations. The beauty and charm of a once-upon-a-time Edwardian Christmas will dazzle and truly amaze you, from your arrival at the White Star Line boarding station to the moment you depart through a magical Holiday Gift Shoppe. See all the trimmings: twinkling lights, lush garlands, wreaths and towering Christmas trees. It's during this special time of year that you'll truly experience what it was like aboard ship and how it might have looked on a Christmas voyage 108 years ago. The museum is committed to remembering and honoring the men, women and especially the 133 children who sailed RMS Titanic's maiden voyage in 1912 every day. We conclude our tour with a special dinner aboard the Titanic Museum in the 'Secret' Titanic First Class Dining Room. This elegant evening dinner is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. With beautiful recreations of rooms within the Titanic and painstaking attention to detail, this museum is well known for bringing the elegant Victorian period to life. Tonight, en route to our hotel for the night, we enjoy a riding tour through Pigeon Forge for its annual Winterfest. See the town decorated for the holidays featuring Christmas themes, lighted trees and animated festive light displays. (B, L, D)
