Gunther Tours has planned a special “Summer Value Tour” for our travelers who want to get away, yet don’t have a lot of time to do so.  The Value Tour features travel days on Monday and Friday, and visits to the destination attractions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Our “Summer Value Tour” get-away is designed to be fun and affordable!  Your on-board Gunther Tours Manager will help pass the time on the travel days by playing games, showing a movie or two, and scheduling quiet time to relax and enjoy the scenery along the highway.  This Value Tour is not meant for travelers who expect anything more than a short, fun and affordable get-away!  So, come get-away with Gunther Tours . . . you deserve it!

Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach towards "The Volunteer State," Tennessee. Soon you will discover yourself why Nashville, is fittingly called "Music City, U.S.A.". Meanwhile relax, enjoy the changing scenery and have fun with onboard activities as we travel west. Before checking into the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Knoxville, Tennessee for the night, we are treated to dinner at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. A $20.00 gift card is provided for you.

Day 2

After breakfast, we depart for Nashville, Tennessee. Upon our arrival, we climb aboard the General Jackson Showboat, an authentic paddlewheel riverboat, for a 2-hour lunch cruise down the Cumberland River that includes an entertaining country music variety show. Next, we check into the world famous Opryland Hotel, and our Atrium Garden View accommodations for the next two nights. The Opryland Hotel is more than just a hotel - it is an experience! From the moment you arrive, you will discover a unique blend of southern hospitality and sophisticated style that has established Opryland Hotel as a world class resort! Our rooms overlook one of the three stunning gardens, featuring tropical plants, sparkling waterfalls and indoor rivers. Enjoy the beautiful view from your private balcony! Tonight, dinner is on your own. For your convenience, there are several restaurants located within the Opryland Hotel. Finally, we end the day on a musical note by attending an evening performance at the Grand Ole Opry. (B, L)

Day 3

After breakfast, we depart for historic RCA Studio B for an up-close look at Nashville's oldest remaining recording studio where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton and Charley Pride recorded some of their classic hits. Learn the secrets of how each artist recorded their chart-topping music in this famous studio and hear some great classic country music. Next, we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Nashville. We will learn about Nashville's colorful history and beautiful architecture, drive by the Tennessee State Capitol, world famous Music Row, and through a residential area viewing the homes of country music royalty, as well as the Governor's Mansion. Following our tour, we return to the Opryland Hotel for a delicious buffet lunch and a free afternoon to do as you wish! Take a pleasurable Delta River Flatboat ride on the scenic indoor river, which is included. Be amazed and delighted while taking a self-guided tour leisurely exploring this Nashville landmark featuring majestic, climate-controlled glass atriums, surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and sparkling waterfalls. Experience charming southern hospitality and marvel at the many wonders of this extraordinary hotel and the elaborate décor surrounding you. Or, you may simply wish to sit, relax and experience the serenity of this spectacular resort from your balcony room. Day 4

After breakfast, we depart for the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. To provide you with the best possible tour experience we have included the official audio guide to bring history to life and tell the story of America's music. Bill Cody, WSM radio personality takes you on a tour through the different eras of country music and shares with you behind-the-scenes stories, insider tips, personal memories and more. Following our tour,
we visit downtown Nashville for shopping and lunch on your own. Here, you will find an exciting nightclub scene offering honky-tonk bars, including world famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, restaurants, local stores, shops, and boutiques, all conveniently located within walking distance of each other. Later settle back, relax and enjoy the scenery on our drive across eastern Tennessee to our overnight accommodations in Knoxville, Tennessee at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. A dinner stop will be made en route to Knoxville. Dinner is on your own. (B)

After a buffet breakfast, we depart for home taking with us amazing memories of America's "Music City, U.S.A.", it's remarkable history, incredible hand-clappin', toe-tappin' contributions to the diverse American music scene, and thrill of Nashville's fun and entertaining attractions!
