Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Join Gunther Tours for a fun-filled get-away full of spectacular scenery, holiday cheer and yuletide spirit in the charming seaside resort town of Cape May, New Jersey. Upon our arrival, we will first enjoy a delicious lunch served at The Lobster House Restaurant. Following lunch, we hop aboard the Cape May Trolley for a guided tour around Cape May Historic District showcasing the lovely and famous "Painted Ladies". The Victorian houses that line the city's streets are popularly known as "Painted Ladies" because of their elaborate and brightly painted gingerbread trim. These Victorian gems present a beautifully harmonious appearance, despite each homes unique detailing. After checking into The Grand Hotel for the next two nights, rest and refresh in the comfort of your spacious room before going out for a delicious dinner and entertainment at a local restaurant. While you are finishing your meal, enjoy a Victorian Christmas Traditions Presentation. Much of what we associate with the celebration of Christmas comes from the Victorian Era, including Christmas trees, Christmas cards, our image of Santa Claus, and many other traditions. You will learn how Prince Albert brought these traditions to England from Germany when he married Queen Victoria, and how they in turn spread to America. Later we return to our hotel for a restful night's sleep.

Day 2

After breakfast we depart for a tour at the 1879 Physick Estate decorated in authentic Victorian style and hear from members of the Physick family household about Victorian Christmas decorations and holiday traditions. The Physick Estate sparkles for the holidays and invites you to step back into Christmas past to an era of Victorian opulence and experience the feeling of an 1890's Christmas. Also see the wonderful Christmas exhibit at the Carroll Gallery. Next, a delightful holiday atmosphere will surround you at the Washington Street Mall, as you browse the many festively decorated shops, and discover unique holiday gifts for your loved ones back at home. Enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many restaurants while leisurely strolling along the beautiful Victorian streets. We later return to our hotel to unwind and freshen up before a delicious dinner is served at the hotel. Finally, we conclude our day with a Holiday Lights Trolley Ride. Enjoy a front row view of Cape May's holiday decorations as our heated trolley winds its way through town splendidly decorated for the holidays. Our trolley guide will entertain and enlighten us about a Victorian Christmas and all its traditions.

Day 3

After breakfast we depart for a special day of holiday entertainment and gaming excitement in Atlantic City, New Jersey to see a matinee performance of "The Rat Pack Holiday Show," starring tribute artists as Frank, Dean and Sammy at the Tropicana Showroom at the Tropicana Casino. Swing into the Christmas season with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. - The Rat Pack - and their famous Christmas Concert! Hear seasonal classics like "Winter Wonderland," "Let It Snow," and of course "White Christmas" along with all their popular tunes. Before the show visit the Casino where you will receive a $25.00 slot play and a $20.00 food credit for lunch compliments of the Tropicana Casino upon arrival. Try your luck, enjoy some time gaming, and experience the thrill of winning at any of the table games and slot machines!
