Today's day trip is to the National September 11 Memorial Museum, which was completed and opened to the public in 2014. The National September 11 Memorial Museum is an educational and historical institution honoring the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 and serves as the country's principal institution for examining the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring the continuing significance of September 11, 2001.

Today’s day trip is to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, which was completed and opened to the public in 2014.  The National September 11 Memorial Museum is an educational and historical institution honoring the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, and serves as the country’s principal institution for examining the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring the continuing significance of September 11, 2001.  The Museum’s 110,000 square feet of exhibition space is located within the archaeological heart of the World Trade Center site.  The story of 9/11 is experienced through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts which allow the viewer to understand what happened on 9/11, how people responded in the aftermath of the attacks, and the history and rebuilding of the World Trade Center.  Following our visit, we will head home, with a delicious dinner stop at Town & Country Diner in Bordentown, New Jersey.  Please select your dinner entrée at the time of reservation: Eggplant Parmigiana, Roast Half Chicken, or Roast Turkey.  Enjoy classic American cuisine at this favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.  Town & Country Diner serves fresh, flavorful fare guaranteed to satisfy your appetite, all delivered by attentive wait staff in a welcoming retro supper club atmosphere.  Note: A fast-food stop will be made en route to the National September 11 Museum.
