The Red Roost Crab Feast
& Laytons Chance Winery

Today we travel across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and down the Route 50 corridor to Wicomico County, on Marylands lower eastern shore Delmarva Peninsula, to the back country roads of Quantico, Maryland home of The Red Roost Crab House. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere, synonymous with Eastern Shore life, is the perfect setting to enjoy this unique crab feast experience in a former working chicken house, surrounded by family and friends while dining on hot and spicy crabs and cool drinks. The crab feast will consist of steamed crabs, fried chicken, fried shrimp, clam strips, hush puppies, corn-on-the-cob, French fries, ice cream for dessert, a souvenir crab mallet, iced tea, soda, and coffee. On our way home from the crab feast we will visit Laytons Chance Winery, for a guided tour of the winery, followed by a tasting of selected Laytons Chance wines. Set on more than 14 acres of beautiful vineyards, tours include a walk around the vineyard and winery. You will also have some free time to explore the farm on walking trails, relax on the porch in Adirondack chairs, walk through the vineyards, and shop for award-winning wines, gifts, and wine accessories in the gift shop before departing for home.
