Day 2

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for Hyannis, Massachusetts where we will travel by ferry to the island of Nantucket. Upon our arrival, you may choose to spend some leisure time strolling along the waterfront, or you can browse the shops along cobblestone Main Street. This afternoon we enjoy a narrated driving tour of Nantucket, (by school bus), that will take you past beautiful cottages, cranberry bogs, rolling farmland, quiet villages, beaches, lighthouses, and pounding surf. Following our tour, we re-board the ferry and cruise back to the Cape Cod mainland. After returning to the mainland, we visit Main Street in downtown Hyannis, an interesting and eclectic all-American Main Street that is a wonderful place to visit to shop, dine and be entertained. With specialty shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants and fun attractions, there is something for everyone on Main Street. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of over twenty restaurants; choose from fast food restaurants to sit-down dining establishments.

Day 3

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour that takes us from Hyannis to "Land's End" Provincetown, which is located at the tip of the Cape. As we travel the length of the Cape you will hear about the Pilgrim landing in 1620 before reaching Plymouth, and the visionary establishment of the Cape Cod National Seashore by John F. Kennedy's administration. We will stop at the Salt Pond Visitors Center. View a film on the geological formation of Cape Cod "The Sands of Time," explore exhibits on the Cape's natural and cultural history, shop in the gift store and enjoy beautiful views across Salt Pond. Next, we climb inside an enclosed, 4-wheel drive vehicle for a fun and informative driving tour across the sand dunes of the National Seashore Park. Learn about the history of life saving stations, see dune shacks where artists live during the summer months and enjoy the endless mountains of sand! In the afternoon, you will have some leisure time to enjoy the lively street scene in this diverse community, with its unique and eclectic gift shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Following lunch on your own we join the Dolphin Fleet for our narrated whale watching cruise as we head for the Stellwagen feeding bank in search of these remarkable marine mammals. Witness the power, energy and majesty of humpback and fin whales as they play and jump in the food-rich environment. Before returning to South Yarmouth for a good night's rest, enjoy some additional free time in Provincetown for browsing, shopping and dinner on your own.

Day 4

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Hyannis. Our tour includes a photo-stop at the John F. Kennedy Memorial overlooking Lewis Bay, a drive past the Kennedy Family Compound (limited views) and St. Francis Xavier Church, where the Kennedy Family worships, and more. Following our tour, we return to the Blue Water Resort where you will find a spectacular beach, soft Cape Cod ocean breezes, and a picture-perfect view right outside your hotel door! A heated outdoor pool lies just steps from the Nantucket Sound and a row of lounge chairs offer rest and relaxation while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Bring your bathing suit and take advantage of the beautiful heated indoor/outdoor pools or swim at our private ocean beach. To wrap up our stay at the Blue Water Resort, tonight we experience the gracious hospitality of our resort staff when they host a delicious dinner in the Four Beaches at the Blue Water Resort for your enjoyment!
