Today we travel to “Christmas City,” Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, located in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, and the historic Hotel Bethlehem. Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the hotel, which has been restored to its original 1922 grandeur. Please provide a meal choice when making your reservations. Your choices are Grilled Chicken Caprese or Char-Grilled Skirt Steak. One of a kind, the Hotel Bethlehem is elegantly appointed, beautifully decorated for the holidays, and proudly continues a long tradition of welcoming hospitality, excellent service, and serving award-winning cuisine. Seven large murals painted by George Gray in 1937 to depict the history of Bethlehem currently adorn the walls of the Mural Ballroom. One of the larger murals retells the story of how Count Zinzendorf and other early settlers named the city of Bethlehem on Christmas Eve in 1741. Following lunch, we will visit one of the top holiday markets in the world, Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem. The market features aisles of exquisite handmade works created by some of the nation’s finest artisans, hear the heart-warming sounds of live holiday music, and enjoy authentic German and Austrian food and much, much more! Later settle back and enjoy a holiday themed movie on our drive home, while reflecting on your Bethlehem one-day get-away filled with holiday history and tradition, wonderful sights, dazzling lights, and a one-of-a-kind family event that celebrates the spirit of the season in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
