Elvis' Graceland & Dolly's Dollywood 25

Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach as we begin our journey to the "Home of the Blues" and the "Birthplace of Rock and Roll," Memphis, Tennessee. Of all the great cities that had a hand in the development of popular music in the 20th century, none compares to Memphis, a must-visit city for music lovers around the world! Before checking into our hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee for the night, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast we depart for Nashville, Tennessee to visit the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Upon our arrival we meet our Ambassador and depart for a guided walking tour of this iconic Nashville landmark featuring majestic, climate-controlled glass atriums, surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and sparkling waterfalls. Experience charming southern hospitality and marvel at the many wonders of this extraordinary hotel and the elaborate décor surrounding you. Following our tour, take a relaxed Delta River Flatboat ride on the scenic indoor river, which is included. After lunch on your own at one of the hotel's many first-rate restaurants, settle back, relax, and enjoy the scenery on our drive across western Tennessee to our hotel accommodations in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
After checking into the Drury Inn & Suites for the next two nights, you will have time to unwind and freshen up before enjoying the Manager's Reception with free hot food & cold beverages, including beer, wine, and mixed drinks before retiring to your room for a good night's sleep.

Day 3

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Memphis. Highlights of our tour include photo-stops along the Mississippi River and Mud Island River Park, (a public park and a recreational area created as a tribute to the mighty Mississippi River), The Pyramid, Memphis' early churches and public buildings, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and more. Included on our tour will be a visit to the legendary Sun Studios. Packed full of memories and memorabilia, the "Birthplace of Rock and Roll" will offer you the rare opportunity to hear original out-takes of recording sessions of legendary artists, like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash who helped to create the music that changed the world. Following our tour, we will visit Graceland. Highlights of our Graceland tour include visiting Elvis Presley's mansion, his original business office, his trophy building, and the Meditation Garden where Elvis and members of his family have been laid to rest. We conclude our tour of Graceland by boarding Elvis' private jet, "The Lisa Marie". A $15.00 lunch voucher is included for Gladys' Diner or Vernon's Smokehouse. Before returning to our hotel, we are served a savory dinner at King's Palace Café. Located on world famous Beale Street, King's Palace Café, serves up appetizing Southern delicacies, such as Memphis style BBQ ribs or Cajun specialties, and for over 30 years it has been a perennial favorite of locals and visitors alike!

Day 4

After breakfast settle back, relax, and enjoy the drive to the scenic foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Your on-board Gunther Tours Manager will help pass the time by playing games, showing a movie or two, and scheduling quiet time to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery along the highway. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is the home of exciting live music shows ranging from country to bluegrass, and gospel to old-time rock and roll. Before checking into the Fairfield Inn & Suites, our hotel for the next two nights, we are treated to a delicious dinner at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant.

Day 5

After breakfast we depart for Dollywood. We will spend the day visiting Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain family adventure theme park with its family traditions, thrilling adventure rides, master craftsmen, and spectacular shows. Later we depart for Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction, "The Most Fun Place to Eat in The Smokies". The evening includes a delicious four-course feast while you enjoy the competitive events, illusions, comedy, bluegrass and country music, incredible horsemanship and antics of the friendliest battle ever fought between the North and South.

Day 6

After breakfast we depart for home taking with us amazing memories of our musical Memphis, Tennessee tour, and a greater appreciation for the birthplace of American Rock and Roll and the legendary home of American blues music! Plus, a wealth of memories from our day spent at Dolly Parton's family attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains, and the hand-clappin', toe-tappin' country music good time experienced in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Today's buffet lunch is included at Michie Tavern, an authentic 1784 pub in Charlottesville, Virginia. Enjoy a delicious lunch in a rustic tavern setting served to you by servers dressed in period attire.
