Hershey in 1937. Upon our arrival enjoy a self-guided tour of these magnificent gardens overlooking the town of Hershey.

Called the “Sweetest Place on Earth,” Hershey, Pennsylvania is a wonderful place to celebrate the colors of Spring.  We begin our day with a visit to Hershey Gardens, created by Milton S. Hershey in 1937.  Upon our arrival enjoy a self-guided walking tour of these magnificent gardens overlooking the town of Hershey.  What started out as a simple request by Milton Hershey to “Create a nice Garden of Roses” more than 80 years ago, has now grown from the original small rose garden into a 23-acre thriving botanical garden and arboretum.  Hershey Gardens boast meticulously maintained theme gardens that feature a breathtaking assortment of flowers and shrubs, a stately collection of rare and signature trees, and a delightful Butterfly House.  Spring is in full display with the peak bloom of the historic Hershey Rose Garden.  More than 5,600 roses represent 275 different varieties and a rainbow of 12,000 colorful annuals, representing more than two hundred plant species will be in bloom.  Some of the theme gardens include an herb garden, a rock garden, ornamental grasses, a Japanese garden, Mrs. Hershey’s rose garden and a seasonal display garden.  At the Butterfly House you can walk among more than three hundred butterflies representing dozens of rare butterflies from South and Central America, Africa and Asia in a tropical setting that features colorful plants and a soothing water feature.  If you stand still butterflies may choose to land on you!  Next, a delicious lunch is included today at Fenicci’s of Hershey, serving up classic Italian fare since 1935!  Please provide a meal choice when making your reservations.  Your choices are Fettuccini Alfredo, Spaghetti Meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana or Tortellini Blush
