Horsing Around in Ocala, Florida

Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach as we journey to "The Sunshine State," Florida. Along the way, we make a stop at a true "hidden gem" discovered on one of our previous tours, and we are excited to include it in this tour itinerary. Upon arrival in Florence, South Carolina, enjoy exploring Palmetto Peddler's Antique Mall, one of the state's largest antique malls. Browse more than 38,000 square feet of climate-controlled shopping featuring antiques, collectibles, vintage treasures, jewelry, home décor, vinyl records, and many other unique finds. Housed in a beautifully refurbished factory with rustic wood floors and soaring open ceilings, this ever-changing marketplace offers a memorable shopping experience paired with genuine Southern hospitality. Later, we enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before checking into our hotel for the evening.

Day 2

After breakfast depart for the historic city of St. Augustine, Florida, America's oldest city. Upon arrival, climb aboard a narrated Old Town Trolley Tour for an entertaining and informative introduction to the city's fascinating history, historic landmarks, and charming neighborhoods. As you travel through the heart of St. Augustine, your knowledgeable trolley conductor will bring more than four centuries of history to life while pointing out many of the city's most notable sights. Following the trolley tour, enjoy strolling along historic St. George Street, browse the unique shops and boutiques, visit a historic attraction, sample a sweet treat, or simply relax and soak in the atmosphere of this beautiful and historic city. Later, gather for a delicious dinner before checking into our hotel for a relaxing evening. Enjoy the perfect combination of fascinating history, leisurely exploration, and Southern charm in one of Florida's most beloved destinations.

Day 3

After breakfast depart for Ocala, Florida - the Horse Capital of the World! Upon arrival, enjoy a quick-service lunch on your own before beginning our equestrian adventure. Today, immerse yourself in Ocala's legendary equestrian heritage as we explore the beautiful countryside, magnificent horse farms, and world-class equestrian facilities that have made this area famous around the globe. Meet our local Horse Country guide and set out on a fascinating journey through the rolling countryside surrounding Ocala. Travel past beautiful horse farms, training facilities, lush pastures, and impressive equestrian properties while learning about the horses, people, and traditions that have shaped Ocala's remarkable equestrian industry. Discover why this region has earned its reputation as one of the premier horse destinations in the world. Following our Horse Country experience, arrive at the Equus Inn and check in for a relaxing two-night stay. Take some time to freshen up before we head out for a delicious dinner featuring American and Southern-inspired cuisine. After dinner, return to the hotel and relax after a memorable day exploring the heart and soul of Ocala's extraordinary horse country.

Day 4

After breakfast depart for another memorable day exploring the fascinating attractions and natural beauty of Ocala. This morning, visit beautiful Gypsy Gold Horse Farm for its engaging Horses & History experience. Discover the remarkable story of the Gypsy Vanner horse and learn how these beautiful and distinctive horses made their way to America. Enjoy an up-close look at these magnificent animals while hearing fascinating stories about their history, heritage, and enduring appeal. Whether you are a lifelong horse enthusiast or simply appreciate a wonderful story, this special experience is sure to be a highlight of our Ocala adventure. Following our morning visit, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in the Ocala/Silver Springs area. This afternoon, discover another side of Florida at legendary Silver Springs State Park, home to one of the largest artesian springs in the country. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful natural surroundings, Silver Springs has attracted visitors for generations. Climb aboard one of the park's famous glass-bottom boats for a unique sightseeing cruise across the crystal-clear spring waters. Look through the viewing area beneath the boat as your captain shares fascinating stories about the springs, local history, wildlife, and the delicate natural environment. Keep your eyes open for glimpses of fish and other wildlife beneath the surface as you experience one of Florida's most iconic natural treasures. Following our Silver Springs experience, visit the magnificent World Equestrian Center - Ocala, one of the nation's premier equestrian destinations. Take time to explore this spectacular property at your own pace, including the impressive equestrian grounds, The Equestrian Hotel, shops and boutiques, and horse-related activities taking place during our visit. With its elegant surroundings and world-class facilities, the center offers wonderful opportunities for sightseeing, photography, and experiencing the excitement of the equestrian world. Tonight, there is no need to leave this beautiful setting! Enjoy a delicious dinner at the World Equestrian Center, surrounded by the elegance and excitement of this remarkable destination. Following dinner, return to our hotel and relax after another wonderful day filled with horses, history, and the natural beauty of Ocala.

Day 5

After breakfast sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery as we travel through the Southeast to Savannah, Georgia, one of the South's most historic and picturesque cities. Upon arrival, step aboard the Savannah River Queen, an authentic paddlewheel riverboat, for a delightful lunch cruise along the Savannah River. Enjoy fascinating commentary from the captain as you learn about Savannah's modern port, the ships that travel from around the world, and the city's rich maritime heritage, while taking in scenic views of the historic riverfront and skyline. Following the cruise, reboard our motor coach and continue to our hotel in Florence, South Carolina, for a restful overnight stay. Settle in and relax as we prepare for the final leg of our journey home tomorrow. A quick-service dinner will be on your own en route.

Day 6

After breakfast enjoy a short stop at Buc-ee's, one of the South's most popular and entertaining travel destinations. This legendary travel center is famous for its enormous selection of snacks, freshly prepared foods, beverages, unique merchandise, and souvenirs - all complemented by its friendly service and exceptionally clean, spacious facilities. Take some time to stretch your legs, browse the many aisles, pick up a few favorite treats for the journey home, or find a fun Buc-ee's souvenir to remind you of your travels. Following our visit, board the motorcoach and continue our journey home. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery as we make our way north, carrying with us wonderful memories of our Florida adventure. As the miles pass, reflect on the unforgettable highlights of our journey - from the historic charm of St. Augustine and the beauty of Silver Springs to the magnificent horses and equestrian traditions of Ocala.
