Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Today travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to New York State where we cross the Hudson River and journey north to the resort town of Lake George, "Queen of American Lakes". After checking into the Surfside on the Lake for the next three nights, we conclude our travel day with a delicious dinner at the hotel's Club Hamilton Restaurant. The Surfside on the Lake is a resort hotel overlooking Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains.

Day 2

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Lake George. Included on our tour is a drive on the Veteran's Memorial Highway up to the 2,030-foot summit of Prospect Mountain (weather permitting) to enjoy the spectacular 100-mile panoramic views of Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains. Next, we board the Minne-Ha-Ha, an authentic paddle wheeler for a sightseeing cruise on Lake George. The narrated cruise takes you along the southern basin of Lake George and provides you with a unique view of the luxurious mansions along "millionaire's row," located on the lake below the scenic Adirondack Mountains. Later we depart for Lake Placid Olympic Village where we will meet our step-on guide for a tour of the 1980 Winter Olympic sites. View Mirror Lake, visiting the ice skating arena that was the site of the 1980 USA-USSR hockey game, the "Miracle on Ice," (when a group of American college students and amateurs upset the heavily-favored Soviet national ice hockey team won the gold medal), see the site of the Olympic Oval where Eric Heiden won his five Olympic Gold Medals, and view the Olympic ski jumps. Before returning to Lake George, enjoy some free time exploring Main Street in downtown Lake Placid. With specialty shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants and fun attractions, there is something for everyone on Main Street. Enjoy dinner on your own; choose from fast food restaurants to pubs and cocktail bars to sit down dining establishments. Lake Placid has got you covered for a fun evening!

Day 3

After breakfast you are free to design the rest of your day and do as you wish! Experience the attractions, entertainment, restaurants, local shops, arcades, mini-golf, beaches, and pubs all conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel. Tonight, we take our reserved seats at one of Upstate New York's best kept secrets, the Lake George Dinner Theater. It has operated as a deliciously fun live entertainment venue for over 35 years and has the distinction of being the smallest, most intimate professional dinner theatre in the country, with no seat more than thirty feet away from the stage in an intimate 90-120 seat theatre setting. First, we will enjoy a delicious three-course dinner served by a friendly wait staff, followed by a high energy, first-rate Broadway caliber musical or play before returning to the resort for a good night's rest.

Day 4

After breakfast we depart for the city of Saratoga Springs, New York, one of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States. Upon our arrival we meet our step-on guide and depart for a tour of Saratoga Springs. This exciting historical and cultural center, Saratoga Springs, is noted for its world-class attractions, thriving arts and culture, natural springs, friendly people, and a rich tradition of thoroughbred horse racing. Following our tour, enjoy some leisure time exploring Broadway Street, while browsing the many specialty shops and wonderful restaurants. Lunch is on your own. Next, we depart for home taking with us fond memories of Lake George and our delightful Upstate New York get-away!
