Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Settle back, relax and enjoy a leisurely drive to the shores of beautiful Chautauqua Lake for an exhilarating "New Tour" get-away! After checking into the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel, our hotel for the next three nights, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel. Our accommodations are set amidst beautifully landscaped grounds and panoramic lake views!

Day 2

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a day of touring in "Lucy's Hometown". Our guide will take us to places of significance in Lucille Ball's life in Jamestown, New York. You will see the house that she was born in, the house where she grew up, larger-than-life I Love Lucy murals, legendary Lucy statues, Lucy's final resting place and much more! Next, we will visit the Lucy Desi Museum & Desilu Studios for a guided tour. Our tour guide will take us on a look back at the halcyon days of the filming of the legendary "I Love Lucy" show. Get a behind-the-scenes look into the creation and production of the show, experience exact re-creations of the iconic sets, including Lucy and Ricky Ricardo's New York City apartment and the Hollywood hotel suite. You will also find an interactive Vitameatavegamin set, a screening area, original scripts, and showcases filled with vintage memorabilia as well as costumes that were worn on the show. Following our tour, today's nostalgic outing continues when we experience first-hand, a re-creation of Ricky Ricardo's famous Manhattan nightclub. While in the Tropicana Club, enjoy a delicious lunch and watch your favorite episode of "I Love Lucy". After lunch we will visit the award-winning National Comedy Center for an interactive journey through comedy history, from early vaudeville to the latest viral memes. We will conclude our touring day at the Lucy Desi and Comedy Gift Shop. Explore the most comprehensive selection of official Lucy, Desi, I Love Lucy and Desilu Studio merchandise. Later we return to our hotel where you will have time to relax and freshen up before going out for tonight's wine tasting and dinner at Liberty Vineyards & Winery in Sheridan, New York.

Day 3

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, change gears, and set out to explore a simpler way of life with a tour on the Amish Trail. We will travel through beautiful countryside where you will hear the history of the Old Order Amish Settlement and their customs. Our day will be filled with wonderful and interesting sights, including Amish Buggies that share the road at their comfortable speed of 10mph. Along the way you will encounter a distinctive way of life that is grounded in faith and community and intentionally separated from the modern world. The Amish are known, not only for their culture, but also their finely made, hand-crafted goods such as quilts, rugs, baked goods, jams, candy, furniture, baskets, woodworking, toys, leather, and more. Unlike some of the Amish communities found in Ohio or Pennsylvania, there are no all-inclusive "Amish Stores". Instead, what you will find here are small individual Amish businesses adorned with small signs indicating what they sell. We will stop at an Amish Quilt Shop, a Bake Shop, and a Cheese Factory to receive goodie bags. A delicious lunch is included today at a local restaurant. After a day of Amish country sightseeing, we return to our hotel for some time to sit, relax and freshen up before departing for the Chautauqua Belle. It is "All Aboard!" for a delicious dinner cruise on Chautauqua Lake. Enjoy a festive and fun atmosphere filled with good fellowship of friends old and new while dining on a delicious buffet dinner served against panoramic lake views of Chautauqua Lake.

Day 4

After breakfast we depart for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Upon our arrival, we visit the Carrie Blast Furnaces, a remnant of the once massive, legendary U.S. Steel Homestead Steel Works. The Carrie Blast Furnaces are a vestige of Pittsburgh's 20th century domination of the steel industry. Our tour highlights Pittsburgh's steel heritage, and how this post-industrial site became a muse for many artists! Declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006, Carrie, as it is affectionately known, entices visitors to marvel at the scale and legacy of its industrial might. During our two-hour guided walking tour, you will hear stories about the site's technology, including why it is nationally significant, as well as get to know the culture of its workers. Also, we will learn about the iron-making process, from the movement of the raw materials to the tapping of the furnaces that produced fiery molten iron. Following our tour we depart for home, and wrap up our fun Chautauqua get-away with its rich history, beautiful landscape, extraordinary Amish community, and also having provided us with laughter, smiling faces, and a renewed appreciation of the special magic that continues to make everyone say, "I Love Lucy!"
