Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Enjoy the breathtaking fall foliage scenery along every turn of the highway as we travel to the Southern Seacoast of Connecticut for the beginning of a fun get-away! Our adventure starts with a stop at the Submarine Force Museum in Groton, Connecticut. Enjoy a self-guided tour through the museum, which is home to the nation's finest collections and displays of America's submarine artifacts, documents and photographs relating to U.S. Submarine Force history. Feeling daring? Board the USS Nautilus and peer into the lives of the men and women who bravely serve our nation traveling the ocean depths in "sharks of steel." Explore the spaces where the crew of this amazing submarine worked, ate, slept, and entertained themselves on their long voyages far beneath the ocean's waves. Later we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant after checking into the Hampton Inn & Suites in Mystic, Connecticut for the next three nights.

Day 2

After breakfast we depart for one of the most historic cities in the United States - Boston, Massachusetts and Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox's. Upon our arrival, we meet our official Fenway Park Tour Guide and depart on a walking tour (approximately 50 minutes) of what has been called "America's Most Beloved Ballpark." The tour will feature the Press Box, the luxury suites, and the infamous "Green Monster." You'll hear about the "Curse of the Bambino" and see where Ted Williams longest hit landed! Next, we will have some leisure time to explore Boston's # 1 tourist attraction - Quincy Market, and browse its many specialty shops and restaurants. Lunch is on your own. Following lunch, we meet our step-on guide and depart for a tour of Historic Boston. The tour will highlight Boston's history and sites along the Freedom Trail, Boston's diverse neighborhoods and the unique shopping districts. A fast food stop will be made for dinner before returning to our hotel in Mystic. Dinner is on your own.

Day 3

After breakfast we depart for a day of sightseeing in the Connecticut River Valley. We begin at the Connecticut River Museum, located on the docks of the Connecticut River, in the charming seaport village of Essex, Connecticut. The Museum was established in 1974 as a small, all-volunteer organization dedicated to the dream of establishing a museum that would preserve the history of the Connecticut River Valley and its people. Discover the region's rich heritage and natural beauty through the museum's impressive collection of paintings, manuscripts, books, art, and artifacts. Later, we climb aboard the twin hulled, catamaran River Quest for a sightseeing cruise. Gliding along on the cool, peaceful waters of the Connecticut River experience the natural beauty of the Connecticut River Valley while viewing the local wildlife and landmarks. Don't forget to visit the museum's gift shop and pick up a unique souvenir to remember the day following our cruise. Next, we depart for the historic Griswold Inn, the most famous landmark building in Essex, built by Sala Griswold in 1776, it is one of the oldest continuously run Inns in the United States. Enjoy a delicious included lunch of classic American cuisine prepared to perfection served in one of the Inn's historic dining rooms. After lunch, you will have time to leisurely explore the Village of Essex unique shops, galleries, and view beautifully restored sea captain homes. We conclude our day with a visit to the Mohegan Sun Casino, one of the largest, most distinctive, and spectacular entertainment, gaming, and shopping destinations in the world, prior to returning to our hotel. You'll find more than 60 premier shops and restaurants and two of the most exhilarating casinos with over 6,000 slots and over 300 table games. Tonight, dinner is on your own before returning to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

Day 4

After breakfast we depart for Foxwoods Resort Casino. The largest casino in the world, Foxwoods Resort Casino offers six casinos featuring over 5,000 of the newest and most popular slots and 370 table games from Blackjack and Craps to Roulette, plus the only Poker Room and High Stakes Bingo Hall in New England. The resort complex is also home to an eclectic mix of restaurants and lounges, and lots of shops with brand name merchandise to round out your visit at this distinct destination! Following lunch on your own settle back, relax and enjoy a movie on the drive home. Today's dinner is included at Town & Country Diner in Bordentown, New Jersey. Enjoy a memorable meal and dining experience, at this favorite spot for locals and out of town visitors. Always fresh, delicious and guaranteed to satisfy your appetite, Town & Country Diner serves up the finest cuisine served by an attentive wait staff. Following dinner, we wrap-up our great get-away, and depart for home with many fond memories of a unique maritime heritage experience, the Best of Boston, and a fun filled double dose of spectacular casino entertainment!
