DDay 2
After breakfast we depart for Patriot's Point in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, where we will embark on a narrated cruise through beautiful Charleston Harbor. Our excursion includes a visit to historic Fort Sumter, the site where the first shots of the American Civil War were fired. Upon arrival at the fort, National Park Service rangers will welcome you with informative presentations and opportunities to learn about Fort Sumter's pivotal role in American history. Discover the events that led to the outbreak of the nation's bloodiest conflict while exploring this historic landmark. You will have approximately one hour to explore Fort Sumter before boarding the boat for a scenic return cruise to Patriot's Point. Next, we depart for Charleston, South Carolina - a charming and historic port city founded in 1670, celebrated for its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, shaded courtyards, and pastel antebellum homes. Enjoy time exploring the renowned Charleston City Market. Dating back to the 1790s, this historic marketplace stretches across four city blocks and features more than 300 vendors offering a wide variety of goods, from local specialties to handcrafted regional artwork. It is the perfect place to browse, sample local flavors, and select a unique Charleston souvenir. Later this afternoon, we return to Myrtle Beach for a memorable dining experience at Yamato Steak House. Known for its lively hibachi-style cooking and skilled chefs, Yamato provides an entertaining and interactive meal as your dinner is freshly prepared tableside. Enjoy a delicious selection of expertly grilled steak, chicken, seafood, and vegetables in a fun and inviting atmosphere.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast enjoy a leisurely morning before departing for a relaxing cruise aboard the Barefoot Queen along the Intracoastal Waterway. Sit back and take in the picturesque coastal scenery as we cruise past waterfront homes, marinas, and the natural beauty of the surrounding waterways. Along the way, learn about the area's history and landmarks while enjoying the comfortable indoor seating or relaxing on deck. This memorable cruise offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty of the Grand Strand from the water. After the cruise, enjoy an exciting shopping excursion at Barefoot Landing. Set along a scenic waterfront, this popular destination features more than 100 specialty shops, restaurants, and attractions, providing plenty of opportunities to browse, shop, and explore at your own pace. Later, return to our hotel with time to relax and freshen up before an enjoyable evening out. We begin with a delicious dinner at Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood, a longtime Grand Strand favorite known for its impressive seafood buffet and traditional Calabash-style cuisine. Following dinner, we attend an unforgettable performance at The Carolina Opry. "Time Warp" takes you on a high-energy musical journey through the best music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, brought to life with spectacular multimedia screens, special effects, and elaborate costumes.
