The National Cathedral Flower Mart is Washington, D.C.’s annual outdoor festival for garden enthusiasts and families. The Flower Mart features annuals, perennials, landscape exhibits, Olmsted Woods and Garden Tours. The Flower Mart encircles the Washington National Cathedral with its tents and includes more than 50 booths offering gardening items, handbags, jewelry, and much, much more! Flower Mart has something for everyone. Visitors can buy a blue-ribbon array of plants for gardening, as well as a range of gardening tools and implements. In addition, you will find herbs, bonsai, orchids, floral arrangements and cut blooms. Also, there will be live entertainment, games and activities for children and rides on an antique carousel to enjoy. Food vendors will be stationed throughout the grounds offering a wide variety of foods including Asian specialties, pizza, BBQ, Southern cuisine, lobster rolls, baked goods and more for purchase. Each year, Flower Mart honors a different country whose ambassador serves as the honorary chair. The food, culture, arts and crafts of that nation are featured. Funds raised by The Flower Mart support the gardens and grounds of the Washington National Cathedral.
