Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to "The Buckeye State," Ohio for a fun-filled get-away! Upon our arrival in Independence, Ohio we check into the Holiday Inn for the next two nights. You will have time to relax and refresh in your comfortable accommodations before going out for dinner and entertainment this evening at Hofbrauhaus. A German microbrewery with an on-site restaurant and beer garden, Hofbrauhaus serves-up delicious food and great live music. Experience traditional Bavarian cuisine in the spirited atmosphere of a German Beer Hall where you will quickly become friends with everyone raising their steins around you. Modeled after the 400-year-old original Hofbrauhaus brewery founded in Munich, Germany in 1589, the restaurant's mood is fun, and polka music fills the air as you experience a taste of Germany in Cleveland! Later, we return to our hotel for a good night's rest.

Day 2

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide, and depart for a tour of Cleveland. The tour will highlight how Cleveland is alive with new destinations mixed with the charm of historic landmarks. We will view the Soldier's and Sailor's Monument, which was erected as a monument to honor Civil War soldiers and sailors, and the classic buildings of the 1903 Cleveland Group Plan. The Group Plan of Cleveland consists of a group of Beaux Arts style buildings with Neo-classical details arranged around a central mall. It remains one of the best examples of the City Beautiful Movement. Today some of these grand buildings have been re-purposed: a department store is now a casino, and a bank is now a grocery store. Next, we will visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Enjoy a self-guided tour through this 150,000 square-foot museum featuring seven floors, five theaters, changing exhibits, and includes the largest Elvis collection memorabilia outside of Graceland, the largest Beatles collection anywhere, view many pieces of Michael Jacksons' stage wardrobe, including his sequined glove and even Janis Joplin's psychedelic Porsche is on display. Discover the artist and music that shaped rock and roll as you can listen to hundreds of tunes from the 1920's to the 2000's. After departing the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame we will enjoy a delicious lunch at Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. The restaurant serves up authentic family style Italian dishes that celebrates the hearty cooking of Southern Italy. Following lunch, we "indulge your sweet tooth" with a visit to Sweetie Candy Company, the world's largest candy store! Known for providing a wide variety of sweets, treats, and chocolates for over half a century, here you will find classic candy, retro candy, bulk candy, and plenty more. Plus visit the old-fashioned soda shoppe serving ice cream, malts, shakes and more. We return to our hotel where you will have time to relax and freshen up before departing for Cleveland's Progressive Field where we attend the Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Guardians baseball game. Our Club reserved seats are located above the first-base line and provide excellent views of the entire field, scoreboard, and Cleveland skyline. Our Club tickets include access to free food and non-alcoholic beverages in the Club Lounge, situated directly behind the seats.

Day 3

After breakfast we depart for America's premier sports showplace - The Pro Football Hall of Fame. Take a self-guided tour through the five-building complex that honors those individuals who have made outstanding contributions to professional football and be amazed by their remarkable stories. Following our visit, we depart for home. We take with us fond memories of our get-away to "The Buckeye State," and contributions of musical giants, sports game changers of the Gridiron, and hopefully an Orioles WIN! A box lunch is included for the ride home.
