Today we escape across the Chesapeake Bay to the quaint historic village of St. Michaels, Maryland located on Maryland's picturesque Eastern Shore. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Crab Claw Restaurant and following lunch, we climb aboard "The Patriot", a working replica of a 1930's Steam Ferry for a 75-minute narrated sightseeing cruise on the Miles River.

St. Michaels, Maryland
Today we escape across the Chesapeake Bay to the quaint historic village of St. Michaels, Maryland located on Maryland’s picturesque Eastern Shore. Upon our arrival, you will have leisure time to explore St. Michaels charming shops, local boutiques, antique shops, Main Street merchants, and view attractive Bed and Breakfast Inns, all within walking distance. St. Michaels offers you both the ambience of a small waterfront town and the unmistakable charm of the Victorian-era to be enjoyed throughout your visit! Following lunch on your own, we climb aboard “The Patriot,” a working replica of a 1930’s Steam Ferry for a narrated sightseeing cruise on the Miles River. Relax and experience the pleasures of traveling on the water as “The Patriot” cruises along the Miles River, and we enjoy unique views of beautiful 300-year-old waterfront mansions located along the river, including the waterfront mansion seen in the movie “The Wedding Crashers”. Also, we will learn about the local ecosystem and hopefully observe a variety of native wildlife while cruising on the river. A friendly crew will greet you when you board “The Patriot” which is handicapped accessible, has onboard restrooms, climate-controlled conditions on the lower deck, open air and covered areas on the upper deck and a cash bar and snack bar. After our cruise settle back for a short ride to Hurlock, Maryland, and the Suicide Bridge Restaurant. Relax in the waterside atmosphere while dining on hot and spicy crabs, cool drinks, and the fellowship of friends old and new. The all-u-can-eat crab feast will consist of all the steamed crabs “u” can eat, crab soup, fried chicken, clam strips, corn-on-the-cob, coleslaw, dessert, iced tea, soda, coffee, and draft beer. Later we return home from our Eastern Shore get-away having shared a wonderful day exploring historic St. Michaels, cruising on the Miles River, enjoying delicious food and having fun with friends!
