Day 1

Welcome Aboard! Travel in comfort aboard our deluxe motor coach to the majestic White Mountains of New Hampshire. Before checking into the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Plymouth, New Hampshire for the next four nights, we are treated to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide and depart for a day of New Hampshire sightseeing. We begin with a stop at the White Mountains Visitor Center. Here you will find in-depth information and excellent displays that provide visitors with a thorough overview of the White Mountains. While you are at the Center take time to visit the Gift Shop. Next, we climb aboard the Conway Scenic Railroad for a train ride through the picturesque valley to Conway, New Hampshire. Upon our arrival, you will have leisure time to enjoy strolling through the quaint New England community of North Conway Village. North Conway Village is in the heart of New Hampshire's Mt. Washington Valley and is home to more than one hundred fifty stores, fine art galleries, and factory outlets. Following lunch on your own we embark on a riding tour along the Kancamagus Highway as we travel to the Loon Mountain Gondola Ride. We will ride New Hampshire's longest sky ride to the 2,733-foot summit of Loon Peak for stunning views of the surrounding White Mountains. Before returning to the hotel for a good night's sleep, a delicious dinner is included at a local restaurant that serves great local flavors.

Day 3

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide and depart for another day of New Hampshire sightseeing. We begin our day of touring on board a pontoon boat for a narrated cruise on Squam Lake. This unforgettable boat cruise has something to delight everyone! Learn about the natural history of the lake, the wildlife that makes Squam so special, and the people who enjoyed these lakes for over 5,000 years. View locations where the movie "On Golden Pond" was filmed over 30 years ago. Watch for Common Loons, Bald Eagles, and other wildlife. Next, we will have some leisure time to explore the picturesque New England community of Meredith, New Hampshire and browse its many specialty shops and restaurants. After lunch on your own we will visit Kellerhaus. For over one hundred years the Kellerhaus family has proudly made the finest quality ice cream and candies in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Also, you will find a gift shop full of unique confections and specialty gifts. We will conclude our day of touring on board the Lake Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad. Enjoy a nostalgic scenic excursion along the shores of the lake while dining on a delicious roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The relaxing train trip provides terrific views of this sparkling lake and a unique view of some of the beautiful lakeside homes and summer cottages. Following our train ride, we return to the hotel for a restful night's sleep.

Day 4

After breakfast we meet our step-on guide and depart for our final day of New Hampshire sightseeing. Our guided tour takes us through the White Mountains, from Franconia Notch to Mount Washington, to our first destination of the day, Clark's Trading Post in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Clark's Trading Post has been a family-owned attraction since 1928. Enjoy a trained bear show that demonstrates the intelligence and talents of the North American black bear. Next settle into the clickety-clack of the rails on a steam train ride on the White Mountains Central Railroad. Following our tour, we continue our day of sightseeing by traveling to the Mount Washington Cog Railway, located in scenic Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, in the heart of the White Mountains. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Base Station of Mount Washington. After lunch we will embark on one of the world's greatest railway adventures on the World's First Mountain-Climbing Cog Railway train! The scenic train ride takes passengers to the summit of Mount Washington. You will enjoy the spectacular panorama that stretches out before you as the diesel locomotives climb the tallest mountain in the Northeast. After returning to the hotel, unwind and freshen up before this evening's dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5

After breakfast we depart for home with many fond memories of New England's spectacular lake and mountain scenery, and of our delightful railway adventures!
